This is a five-piece group of professional musicians dedicated to the memory of music of the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's: swing, jazz and romantic ballads. "Let us take you back in time- when music was MUSIC"
Instrumentation: Trumpet, clarinet/tenor sax, string or acoustic bass, piano, drums. A vocalist can be added if desired. Using a minimum of sound amplification, "Nostalgia" furnishes music that can easily be talked over. We keep things moving without long breaks between numbers, playing just the right balance between up-beat tunes and ballads
Musicians: We play in the style of the era when the music was popular. Our purpose is to augment the mood of the occasion by stimulating the memory of years gone by. We do not lose the melody in intricate improvisations. Our musicians, whose biographies are listed under Meet the Band, are all outstanding players.
Client Participation in Program Planning: We encourage our clients to participate in the planning of the program. Using our extensive list of song titles, grouped by year of top popularity, clients can be sure of hearing their favorite tunes - and tempos. A partial list of titles, grouped by era, is included in our Song List.
